10 favourites this week

Happy Monday everyone. Who else is feeling a little bit glad that it’s the last Monday of January?! We survived!

How has your week been? I actually ended up having a really lovely one and I’m excited to tell you all about it. Here are my 10 favourites this week…

1) A super productive week

Last week was a super productive one and I managed to get so much done both at work and behind the scenes on the blog! I don’t know what it was that made me feel so motivated this week, but I’m hoping that the feeling lasts.

2) Julie & Julia

I hardly ever watch films, but you might notice from my recent favourites posts that I’m working my way through Netflix at the moment. This week’s choice was Julie & Julia and I can’t believe I hadn’t watched this film earlier – it involves food and blogging, aka as my two favourite things! It was the perfect January film – cosy, heart warming – but be warned, it will make you hungry…

3) Twins That Travel podcast

You all know that I’m a huge podcast fan and this week I discovered another new fave – the Twins That Travel podcast! It’s run by twin sisters and travel bloggers, Claire and Laura, and covers everything from destination guides to musings on what it’s like to be self employed. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re interested in travel

4) Booking the flights for our honeymoon

This was by far the most exciting thing that happened this week – we booked the flights for our honeymoon! We’re going to be doing a West Coast road trip, starting in LA and ending in Seattle, with plenty of stops along the way, including San Francisco and Portland. I don’t think I’ve EVER been so excited for a holiday and I can’t stop researching places to stay and things to do – let me know if you’ve got any tips.

5) A fresh mani

Another week and another fresh gel mani for me! I’m absolutely loving taking a little bit of time for myself by getting my nails done, and I have to admit I feel more polished and put together whenever I have a fresh manicure.

6) Dinner and catch ups at Neighbourhood

On Friday evening I met my lovely friend Jess for dinner and a catch up at Neighbourhood in Manchester. Jess is one of my oldest pals, so it’s always lovely to get together and put the world to rights, especially when accompanied by lots of yummy grub!

7) Puppy cuddles

I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that my Mum and Dad got a gorgeous new puppy, Betty, and this weekend I’ve been lucky enough to hang out with her lots. She is still very much in that puppy state of going from hyperactive to flat out asleep in about 5 minutes and I loved having loads of sleepy cuddles with her.

8) A lovely weekend at home

I spent the entire weekend at home with my parents and it was just what I needed after a busy ol’ week. I was there by myself as Sam was working and it kind of felt like being an only child! It was so nice to sleep in my own bed and be waited on hand and foot – plus I always have loads of fun hanging out with them.

9) New hair

I’ve been a blondie for a couple of years now, but for the past few weeks I’ve been starting to think about going back to my brunette roots. This weekend I finally bit the bullet and did it, and I’m loving my new do! I really do believe that a change of hair can work wonders for your confidence, and I’m enjoying how shiny and glossy it’s looking after years of bleach.

10) A fab meeting for Blossom’s Legacy

Yesterday we had our first trustee meeting of the year for Blossom’s Legacy and it was a good’un! We’ve got loads of exciting plans in the works for 2018, and I can’t wait to see it all come together. We’re doing some very important work in our gorgeous girl’s name, and I feel so proud that I get to be a part of it.

How has your week been? What have you been enjoying this week?
