Goals for June

goals for june How has May disappeared already? It felt like such a lovely month - filled with holiday sunshine, catch ups with friends and two lazy bank holidays!

I did quite well with my Goals for May I think – I definitely got back into reading (book reviews coming up this weekend!) and I made a real effort to be more present and enjoy the moment. The thing I’m most proud of is that despite being in a number of really stressful situations, I managed to keep my cool and not let them take over my mood or my health – that is something I definitely want to keep working on!

Without further ado, here are my goals for June…

1) Make some jewellery

I have to admit that this is a follow over from last month’s goals, but I just didn’t have the time to squeeze in any quality crafting time! I’ve got a few quieter weekends this month though so I’m definitely going to crack on with this one – I’m going to order some new supplies at lunch time so that I can try some new techniques.

2) Focus on the positives

Sometimes when stressful things happen it can be really easy to have a bit of a negative spiral and think that everything is going wrong. I’m determined not to let anything throw me into that vicious cycle this month – and I’m going to avoid it by focussing on all the positive things in life. And there are LOTS of things to be happy about.

3) Get back into exercise

I have to admit that I haven’t done any exercise since I came back from my holiday – not even a little walk along the canal. I know it makes me feel so much better in myself so I want to ease back into making it a routine again. My plan is to commit to 2 or 3 bits of exercise a week – nothing strenuous, just getting moving again.

4) Save some money

Our savings are taking a bit of a battering at the moment due to trying to buy a house (totally should have been a solicitor or a surveyor!) and our little holiday, so I want to try and recoup them a little bit this month. I’m focussing on a holiday in autumn to give me some motivation! Let me know if you have any savings tips…

5) Have a clear out

We’ll be moving out of the house we’ve lived in for 18 months in July so I want to have a super spring (or summer!) clean this month to make the packing process easier! Also hoping that if I have a little eBay session then I might be able to recoup those savings a little bit faster…

What are your goals for June? Do you have any that are similar to mine?
