4 independent brands and stores you need to know about

There's something quite rewarding about supporting independent brands and stores. It's easier to quieten the guilt of spending money on things you don't need if you know that you're supporting a business run by real people rather than big corporate machines isn't it? It's also way nicer being able to buy stuff that you know everyone won't have in two weeks time. I mean, I love H&M home, but it's practically filling every bloggers Instagram feed right now, isn't it?

So in order to fully enable any homeware/stationery/jewellery addictions you might have, I thought I'd share 4 independent brands & stores you need to kow about. I apologise in advance to your bank balances...

1) Colours May Vary

Colours May Vary is one of my favourite stores in Leeds, and luckily for you non-Yorkshire residents, they also have a pretty great online store. They sell an array of products, including independent magazines, amazing stationery, books and homewares. It's the place I tend to head to whenever I need a notebook, but it's also great for picking up quirky travel guides - definitely check them out if you have any city breaks planned.

2) Oates&Co

I only discovered Oates&Co a couple of weeks ago - they had supplied some goodies for #TheCityGirls event - but as soon as I checked out their website I was in love. They sell the dreamiest selection of handpicked homewares - I'm currently lusting over their cushion selection and their kitchen range is oh so Pinterest worthy.

3) OH NO Rachio!

OH NO Rachio!

I've been obsessed with OH NO Rachio! for a while. Everything is designed and hand illustrated by the lovely Rachel, and the product ranges span everything from notebooks and cards, to homewares and shoppers. I love that their items are the perfect mix of quirky and cute, and obviously, a good quote always makes everything even better.

4) Oh My Clumsy Heart

Oh My Clumsy Heart

Oh My Clumsy Heart is an independent jewellery brand that specialises in handmade minimal pieces. All of the items are designed as part of a beautiful and thoughtful collection (my favourite is the Geometrics collection!) and everything is really affordable. Perfect if you're looking for a gift or a little treat for yourself!

Have you got any all time favourite indies? I'm particularly on the lookout for some affordable quirky homeware bits at the moment, so if you have any recommendations then help a girl out!
