10 favourites this week (#34)
Is it just me or is this summer going FAR too quickly?! We've been living in our house for 3 weeks already and I feel like we haven't spent a full day in it yet. It's going to be Christmas before we're all sorted and unpacked!
This week has been another super fun one - I feel so busy at the moment but I can't really complain when it's full of lovely things. Here are my 10 favourites this week...
1) Dinner and celebrations at Gusto
I met up with some old colleagues for dinner at Gusto on Tuesday evening and we had such a lovely time! Two of my friends have got new jobs so we toasted with Prosecco and indulged in creamy risottos and pastas. And just look how cute the restaurant is!
2) Salted Caramel Soother @ Hotel Chocolat
We're lucky in Leeds in that our Hotel Chocolat has a bar, making it the perfect place for an after dinner cocktail. I tried their amazing Salted Caramel Soother this week which tasted like it had a weeks worth of calories in, but was SO worth it. Well worth a try if you're in the area and fancy a sweet treat.
3) Yes Please by Amy Poehler
I don't know why it's taken me so long to pick this book up but I'm so glad I did. Amy is bloody hilarious, and I had to give an apologetic glance numerous times to my fellow train passengers after cackling loudly while reading it.
4) Pimms in a can
I'm a big fan of the trusty old gin in a tin so I was very excited when I saw these in Sainsbury's last week. All I can say is that these are truly the best invention ever. Perfect for train journeys, picnics or just saving on buying a whole bottle!
5) Booking our apartments for Iceland and NYC/Brooklyn
I'm feeling so excited for our trip in September now that we have our accommodation all sorted. We have booked perfect little Airbnb apartments in both Reykjavik and Brooklyn and I can't wait to explore two amazing cities... less than 5 weeks and counting!
6) Being reunited with my bestie
Just look at that face - aint she beautiful! I don't get to spend nearly enough time with this lovely human being, so it's always super precious when we do. Hanging out with her in here new home in Norfolk was pretty much perfect, and there's just something about spending time with old friends that makes you feel more yourself isn't there?!
7) A good week at work
I've had one of those super busy, kinda stressful but great work weeks - you know the ones where you feel like there aren't enough hours but you also feel really fulfilled?! I love being busy, and I'm starting to see some of my hard work pay off, which is always rewarding.
8) A day at the beach
Paddling in the sea, sunbathing and walking with sand between your toes is bliss right? Just look at that blue sky and turquoise water - I really need to move closer to the seaside!
9) Kevin & Perry Go Large
Fiona and I watched this on Saturday night and I totally forgot how hilarious it is!!! Such a funny film and it definitely made me want to visit Ibiza again... although maybe not with Eyeball Paul!
10) BBQ & Aperol spritzes
Last night was the first time Sam and I have been in together for ages so we were determined to make the most of it. We fired the BBQ up and drank (fake Aldi) Aperol in our garden which I am still so excited that we have!!! I need summer to stick around for a while so that we can keep doing this...
