10 favourites this week (#42)

autumn weather fall Hasn't it felt so gorgeously autumnal this week?! I've been driving around totally in awe of all of the beautiful colours and blue skies and totally fab golden hour sunsets. I bloody love this time of year <3

Almost as much as I love writing these weekly lists - they really do make me feel so happy and lucky. Here are my 10 favourites this week...

1) Catch ups and yum food at Dishoom

On Monday I was down in London for work, which meant I got to meet one of my best girls Laura for dinner and catch ups before I caught the train back up north. It was so nice to see my lovely friend and I totally fell in love with Dishoom - the food was tasty, the service was amazing, and best of all, it was such good value considering that it's a trendy restaurant in a great location. A pretty good start to the week in my opinion!

2) The finale of Doctor Foster

This aired on Wednesday and I still can't stop thinking about it!!! It's been such a long time since I've been this obsessed with a TV drama (especially a British one!) but Doctor Foster literally had me on edge. I've talked about it to everyone I know who watched it and everyone was equally addicted, so I would definitely recommend you catch up with it on iPlayer if you missed it on TV.

3) Asking my fave girls to be my bridesmaids

This was such a nice feeling!!! I put little goody bags together and ordered some personalised cards that I posted out this week - I loved ordering everything and I am so happy that all my girls were so excited. Providing that my Australian lovely says yes (unfortunately next day delivery to Sydney isn't a thing) I will have a brood of seven gorgeous bridesmaids to help me down the aisle and I couldn't be happier.

4) Perfect autumn weather

You just can't beat the blue skies and orange leaves and crisp fresh air that you get at this time of year can you? This week has made me feel so lucky to live in a country that has proper seasons - this time of year always fills me with excitement and fresh hope and I love it. Don't ever leave, October!

5) Girls night in

On Friday two of my lovely girls came round and we ate pizza and drank a wide variety of booze (including vodka, Baileys AND Prosecco) and chatted away all night. We also looked at some old photos from when we were at uni which made us hyperventilate with laugher!!! It was such a lovely evening catching up after all of our holidays, and reminded me that you don't always need a big night out to have a fab time.

6) Gorgeous stationery pressies

My lovely auntie bought me these fab stationery pressies on her recent holiday and I am literally OBSESSED. Those Kate Spade pencils are just perfection, and I will be putting the amazing notebook in my handbag for when I get flashes of blog inspiration. My stationery addiction is getting stronger than ever!

7) Signing up to a MoRun

It's been a very long time since I've been out running, so this weekend my sister and I decided to sign up to Liverpool's MoRun - it's a 10k race that raises money for Men's Health charities (the same onesĀ  that Movember aims to raise funds for). I'm hoping that it will get me back into the habit of running again, as well as providing a fun day out for me and Molly.

8) Doing some planning for NaNoWriMo

I'm totally intimated by the concept of NaNoWriMo, which is a project that aims to help you write 50,000 words in the month of November, but I'm also really excited about it. I'm not sure whether I'll be able to complete the 50,000 words or even have an idea that has any mileage in it, but I'm gonna give it a good go.

9) Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert

I still haven't finished this yet, but I have thoroughly been enjoying Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert. It's full of amazing tips that are present in a totally non-patronising way, and I love love love the artwork on the cover sleeve. I'm looking forward to writing up a full review when I've finished it.

10) A fresh hair do

My hair was totally in need of a fresh cut and colour and my lovely cousin sorted me out this weekend. He cut me some fresh layers and added lots more blonde highlights and I LOVE IT. Sorry I haven't got a selfie to show it off, but I couldn't bring myself to put my face on *just* to show you my new hair do... maybe next week?
