What I got for my birthday
As you might know it was my birthday a couple of weeks ago, and boy oh boy was I spoiled. I thought I'd share with you some of the lovely pressies that my friends and family got me for my birthday for 2 reason - 1) because I'm really nosey and love seeing what other people get for their birthdays, and 2) because Christmas is just around the corner and it might give you some gift ideas for other people or a couple of things to add to your list for Santa. So without further ado, here's what I got for my birthday...
My gorgeous friends had been reading this post and bought me a couple of the gorgeous things on my list. I have used the blanket so much already and I can't wait to hang the clock up - it's definitely contributing to my copper homeware obsession!
Sam had also been reading and bought me this gorgeous chalk globe - it's such a statement piece and I think it'll great on a sideboard or coffee table when we finally buy a new place.
My friends also got me this Kate Spade wishbone necklace - isn't it beautiful?! I've worn it everyday since receiving it and have had so many compliments. I love how dainty and pretty it is, and I have definitely been eyeing up more pieces in the range. I also LOVE the box it comes in - isn't Kate Spade packaging so nice?
Sam has a reputation for being pretty great at buying ace stationery, and this year was no different. Those little erasers are just the cutest and I am OBSESSED with the storyteller pencils - the perfect gift for any writers in your life.
A birthday isn't a birthday without some delicious chocolates, and I was spoilt with the Hotel Chocolat and Happy Jackson varieties. Sam also picked up some stripey straws for me so that I could make my birthday cocktails look as Instagram worthy as possible - what a guy!
Sam also bought me this Up in Lights kit, which provides everything you need to make your own letter lights. I love crafty stuff, so this kit is right up my street. I still haven't decided what word to create with my kit - suggestions please!
Continuing on the great present theme, I also received this fab book from Sam. I'm realy focussed on improving my photography at the moment as I think it's the thing that lags behind most on this little ol' blog, and I think this book will give me some great tips. Plus, some delicious flavours of M&Ms, because, why not?!
And last but by certainly no means least is my Olympus PEN E-PL7 camera! My parents, Sam and some of my family gave me some money for my birthday, and I added some of my savings to it to order this gorgeous hunk of a camera. I'm super obsessed with it already, and can't wait to play around with it more and learn how to use it better. A perfect addition to my growing photography kit!
How super spoilt was I?! It always makes me feel so lucky that my friends and family know me well enough to buy such perfect gifts. I am so grateful, and I hope this post has given you some inspiration for your Christmas shopping!
