Blogging: 1 year on
Starting my blog 12 months ago is one of the best things I've ever done. I can't believe that I've managed to keep it up for so long (I'm the ultimate flake), but as cliche and cringey as it sounds, I can't imagine life without this little space anymore.
I get such a kick out of putting posts together every week, and there's no feeling of excitement quite like when one of you babes leave me a comment. I've learnt some technical blogging whizzy things that seemed truly impossible back in December 2014 (although I must admit that I am still very much a novice!) and I'm slowly but surely becoming happier with my writing and photography. It's a bit self indulgent to admit, but I'm pretty proud of how this little corner of the Internet has come together and grown over the past year.
I've met some super lovely people since setting up shop, both online and in real life. I can't tell you how nice it is to have a constant little bubble of ace people to bounce ideas off and share the love with. I've said it before, but BLOGGERS ARE ACE. There's nothing like having a handful of babes who will give you virtual daily high fives and make you feel like your mid-twenties breakdowns are totally normal.
I've had some fab opportunities too. I've been writing for the fab The High Tea Cast since August which I bloody love. I get to write content that I'm proud of, for a site that I've been reading and enjoying for years - there's no way this would have happened if I hadn't been posting regularly here for nine months previous.
I've had the opportunity to review luxury hotels and work with fab brands and widen my network of contacts and peers. But the best thing about registering for a Wordpress site 365 days ago?
The fact that it's all mine. The fact that the content published here is nothing but my own, challenged by nobody. I love that the archives of this site are filled with my happiest memories from the past year. Every trip has been documented, all the highs and lows of being a 25 year old woman have been stored for me to look back on in years to come.
I love this little blog so much. All that's left to say is A HUGE BIG BLOODY THANK YOU to all of you lot, for reading my ramblings and commenting on my posts and generally being the best ever. I'm hoping you'll stick with me and my witterings for the forseeable future, because I aint going anywhere!
So grab yourself a slice of cake and give yourself a pat on the back. You've all made me the happiest lady ever just by visiting and reading and commenting and being the lovely people you are.
YOU DA BEST :)
