10 favourites this week (#61)

liberty flowers Morning everyone! Monday again already, but I'm super excited because it means we've finally reached the week when we'll become homeowners - yikes! All being well we'll collect the keys to our new home on Friday and I really can't wait.

My good mood has probably been helped by having a really lovely week too - it's been filled with lots of wedding planning and family time and bargainous purchases, basically all of my favourite things! Here are my 10 favourites this week...

1) Getting my blogging mojo back

After a couple of weeks of feeling a bit flat, I've felt thoroughly inspired and in the groove with my blog this week and I've got loads of exciting ideas for this little space moving forward. I've got some fun collaborations coming and I've also invested in some lights so that I can overcome my dark kitchen vibes and share some healthy recipes with you all. I love feeling like this so I'm hoping my motivation sticks around for a while!

2) Exchanging contracts on our new house

This week we reached peak adulthood and exchanged contracts ready for completion on our new house! It was equal parts exciting and terrifying, but I really can't wait to pick our keys up on Friday and see our new home again. We have so much work to do on it but it'll be amazing knowing that it's all ours.

3) A new bargain colouring book

colouring book

I was doing our food shopping in Aldi on Monday evening (I'm all about that low priced fresh food!) when I spied this colouring book for a bargain price of £3. I've had a couple of these before and have been lusting after this one since I bought it for my Mum and sister for Christmas, so I was chuffed when I spotted it. Paired with my Mum's epic pen selection, it made for a very relaxing Sunday afternoon!

4) Having the girls round for tea

On Thursday night I had the girls round for tea - I cooked up a delicious healthy dinner from the new Deliciously Ella cookbook (review coming soon!) and we had a proper catch up. It was so nice to have a rant and a gossip and talk weddings and jobs an houses with my ladies - we all have so much exciting stuff going on at the moment and it's lovely.

5) My new Mango coat

I was out and about running some errands at lunch time on Wednesday when I noticed that Mango still had a sizeable section of sale gear leftover. I've been looking for a warm parka jacket for ages and was made up to find this little beauty at half price! It's padded and super warm and it will be so perfect for our weekend away in Copenhagen.

6) A wedding planning Saturday

national wedding show

I had a very exciting Saturday with my Mum and Molly - we were invited to the National Wedding Show and I also tried on my very first wedding dress! It was such a lovely day of wedding planning excitement and I got loads of good ideas, plus after trying on quite a few dresses I now have a much better idea of what suits me and the styles I like. It feels pretty real that we're getting married now!

7) The return of Gogglebox

It has to be said, I bloody love Gogglebox. I think it's got something do with how relatable and human and damn hilarious it is. Whatever it is, it's by far my favourite programme, so I was chuffed to see it back on TV on Friday. Me and my family laughed hysterically along to it - just what you need to get the weekend of to a good start.

8) Ordering our save the dates

Another step in the excitement of wedding planning - this week we ordered our save the dates! I can't wait to tell all of our loved ones about what we have planned for our big day, and I really enjoyed designing our save the dates and building our wedding website. Having an excuse to fawn over beautiful stationery is definitely one of my favourite things about being engaged!

9) Enjoying my first glass of Prosecco in 7 weeks!

I haven't had a drop of booze in over 7 weeks so this glass of Prosecco at the wedding fair tasted oh so good! After being super strict with food and booze for so long, I'm really excited to be introducing some of the things I've really missed back into my diet. Next week is going to be all about fruit and healthy baking, which will taste amazing after so long without any natural sugar!

10) Lots of family time

Hanging out with my family is my favourite thing and this weekend has been full of it. From wedding dress shopping with my Mum and sister on Saturday to long overdue catch ups with my Nan yesterday, it's been a really lovely couple of days. But definitely best of all was having gorgeous cuddles with my adorable newborn baby cousin, Buddy, last night. He's so small and squishy and I'm totally smitten!
