What I Wore: Off Duty Stripes
I wasn't planning on shooting this outfit, but then we went to Fondazione Prada in Milan and saw this gold wall and I just couldn't resist such a perfect backdrop. I wish we had some gold buildings in Leeds, it would make me pretty happy.
This was what I wore to travel home from Milan, but it's also pretty typical of what I can be found wearing on any given Sunday.
The jeans were a recent buy from Primark, but they're pretty similar to a pair that I have from New Look too. I find high waisted jeans are much more flattering on my figure, and the fabric of these ones is super stretchy and comfy.
Anyone who knows me knows that I can't resist a stripe, and this tee is one of my favourite stripey pieces. I picked it up about 6 or 7 years ago in a charity shop, and it's so soft and lovely to wear. I like the cropped, oversized, boxy shape - it feels like it has a bit more to it than just your average t-shirt.
I already waxed lyrical about the denim jacket in this post, but I can tell that it's going to be my jacket of choice all summer long - it's just the shape and colour I was after. I really liked that the hints of gold and tortoise shell in the necklace and sunglasses made this look feel a bit cooler without too much effort.
The final touch is my trusty tan cross body bag - this was a Primark cheapie from last year, and I love it because I can fit all my handbag essentials and my Olypus PEN without too much trouble. I used it all last summer so it is starting to get a bit tatty now - I've got my eye on this one as a replacement.
Once again, thanks to my lovely Sam for being a totally patient blogger boyfriend and taking these photos for me! I think he'd be pretty good at OOTDs himself - he's definitely got the pose locked down...
