10 favourites this week (#83)

Hey everyone! As you read this I'll be waking up in Ibiza, ready for a day of exploring the island and doing some paddleboarding - how exciting is that?! I'm on my first ever blogger/press trip with the fab Icelolly.com team and it's safe to say I'm feeling like a pretty lucky lady right now! I can't wait to share more about what we've been up to with you all when I get back tomorrow. But before that, let's talk about last week first! Here are my 10 favourites this week...

1) SUNSHINE!

I couldn't not start this post with a big thumbs up for the sunshine - thanks for finally turning up summer! I know a lot of people have been feeling like it's too hot, but I have been thoroughly enjoying the blue skies and not having to wear a coat for work. Long may it last, eh?!

2) Dinner at Headrow House

IMG_5804Sam and I took full advantage of the sunshine on Tuesday evening and headed up to the rooftop at Headrow House for dinner. We gorged on steak and chips and drank tasty beer and it honestly felt like we were abroad rather in Leeds city centre. I think the nice weather has been making me feel much more spontaneous which I am enjoying.

3) Dove Derma Spa Summer Revived

I wanted to build up a little bit of a tan pre-Ibiza (the late arrival of summer in the UK means I have been looking very pasty!) and after reading a couple of good reviews online I decided to pick up a bottle of the Dove Derma Spa Summer Revived. It was only £3 in Superdrug and it has given me such a nice summery glow without looking too orange! It also doesn't smell of biscuits which is always a win in my eyes.

4) Getting on top of blog admin

This week I finally got round to doing two things I've been meaning to do for ages - creating a media kit and setting up a Facebook page for my blog. It feels nice to be a bit more organised and I'm excited to start driving this little blog even harder. It would mean the world to me if you could come and give my Facebook page a little like too!

5) An epic salad

I know, I know, my favourites are usually filled with things like burgers and Mexican food, not salads. But you guys, the salad Sam made me on Wednesday was EPIC. It had chicken and halloumi and croutons and griddled asparagus and creamy dressing and I was literally drooling over it. If all salads tasted that good I would eat them a lot more frequently!

6) A shiny new Dodo diary

The Dodo diaries have been my favourite ever since college (which is a scarily long time ago now!) and so when I saw the new ones in Waterstones I had to pick one up. They're the best layout of diary I've ever used and I find them really good for keeping your to-do list and schedule all in one place. Yay for new stationery.

7) A team lunch at Trinity Kitchen

I always love getting out of the office for lunch and a natter with my lovely colleagues, but this week was made even better by the EPIC Indian chicken wrap and onion bhajis I devoured! They were from the Chaat Cart in Trinity Kitchen and were totally delicious - definitely check them out if you're in Trinity this weekend.

8) The First Lady doing Carpool Karaoke

I love James Corden. I love Carpool Karaoke. I love Missy Elliott. I love Michelle Obama. So the First Lady doing Carpool Karaoke with James Corden and a guest appearance from Missy Elliott was all kinds of wonderful! I dare you to watch it and not smile.

9) Some lovely goodies from Pretty Little Thing

The lovely folk at Pretty Little Thing are sponsoring part of our trip to Ibiza and kindly sent us some new bits and pieces to wear while we're away which was so so nice of them. I got THE most gorgeous black bardot dress which I'm hoping to get some outfit pics of this week so keep your eyes peeled!

10) Ibiza!

Obviously I couldn't round off this list without mentioning the gorgeous place where I have spent the weekend! Ibiza is one of my favourite places in the world, and to be sent there on a trip because of this little blog feels totally crazy. As cheesy as it sounds, a year ago I wouldn't have dreamed that opportunities like this might every arise, so I am definitely going to enjoy it!
