Happy Monday everyone! How's your week been? Mine has been a pretty lovely one which is making Monday that bit easier than usual. Plus in 2 weeks time I'll be sat by the pool drinking beer with my family, which definitely helps! I really can't wait.

1) Finally booking an apartment for Sydney

I've mentioned before that we're off to Sydney in October to visit our friends Steph and Seb - there's a whole gang of us going and I really can't wait! We were having a bit of a nightmare trying to find accommodation for us all (read: we have been trying for 6 months with zero luck!) but this week we finally managed to get somewhere sorted. I feel like we can finally relax and start to look forward the trip now - plus we will be staying right on the beach which I can't WAIT for!

2) A couple of chilled out evenings

I've had some lovely quiet evenings this week, filled with blogging and reading and early nights and it has been bliss! It feels like things have been a little bit crazy recently and having a bit of downtime to recharge my batteries is just what I needed I think. It's amazing how much more energetic you can feel after a few quiet nights in!

3) My first pilates reformer class

On Tuesday I went to my first ever pilates reformer class at Equilibrium Health in Leeds and I absolutely LOVED it! I've been wanting to try it for a while and managed to get a voucher on Groupon that made it a little cheaper so I decided to give it a go. I was super nervous beforehand but the lady who ran the class was lovely and I really enjoyed the class - so much so that I bounced out with a huge smile on my face! I'm booked in again for this week and can't wait.

4) Dinner and Aperol spritzes with the girls

aperol spritzI headed out for dinner with the girls on Thursday evening at the lovely LIVIN'italy on Granary Wharf. We drank Aperol spritzes in the sunshine and ate pizza and talked weddings and holidays and it was the perfect early start to the weekend! It also made me very excited for allllll of the Italian food when we visit Rome in September.

5) Buying Harry Potter and The Cursed Child

I can't tell you how happy I was to get my hands on a new Harry Potter story this week! I am still yet to read it, but despite hearing mixed reviews I am just SO excited to get lost in the wizarding world again. It made me feel like I was a child again when I was queuing up to buy it, and I think we can all do with escaping adulthood and getting carried away with a good old story every now and then.

6) Watching Love on Netflix

I've read so many great things about this show so I don't know why it took me so long to get round to watching it, but boy am I glad that I did. I don't want to give too much away, but it was so refreshing to watch something with imperfect characters and more of a real feel to it. Plus the humour is really dry and witty so it was right up my street!

7) A gorgeous new bikini

We're off to Spain for a summer holiday with my family in a couple of weeks and I have been really struggling to find any swimwear that I liked, but this week I picked up this gorgeous bikini from Next. It fits perfectly and is so summery and pretty - I can't wait to be wearing it with a tan in the not too distant future!

8) A lovely day out in Saltaire

picnic in the parkThe sun was shining on Saturday and Sam and I headed into Saltaire for a little date day. We had a picnic in the park and ate ice cream and drank beers in the pub garden and it was perfect. Saltaire is one of my favourite places in Yorkshire and we're so lucky to have it right on our doorstep - I'm going to put a bit of a guide post together soon in case you fancy visiting yourself!

9) Skyping with Steph

We spent Sunday morning Skyping with Steph in Sydney and planning our itinerary for our trip - I'm so excited! So far on the agenda we have plenty of beach visits, cocktails and dancing in the city, a trip to the Blue Mountains and plenty of BBQ-ing - do you have any must visit places that we should visit? Leave me a comment and let me know if you do!

10) Patty Smiths burgers

patty smiths burger and session fries leedsAfter spending a couple of hours blitzing the cleaning yesterday, Sam and I decided that we deserved a little treat so we headed into town for Patty Smiths burgers and beers at Belgrave. They do a deal on Sunday which makes them sooooo cheap and they were totally delicious - plus the session fries were pretty epic too! The perfect way to spend a
