10 favourites this week (#88)

I'm back with my first favourites in 4 weeks. That's the longest I've ever gone without documenting my weekly happy list. I'll be honest with you, it still feels weird to sit and write a post about all of the things that make me smile. But they're my favourite posts to write, and I don't want to get out of the habit of focussing on all of the things that I'm grateful for. It really helps me be more mindful and content.

So here we are. Here are my 10 favourites this week...

1) My new ASOS PJs

I saw these gorgeous PJs on Instagram and new I had to treat myself to a pair - I mean, they've got cactuses on them!!! They are super comfy too, and because they're made from cotton they've been the perfect PJs for this really warm weather we've been having. I love them!

2) Eating pizza in bed

When you've had a really rubbish Tuesday there's only way to spend the evening and that's eating pizza and drinking red wine in bed. Honestly, if you're having a bad day, just try it. You'll feel better almost immediately.

3) Playing around with my new MacBook

My old Mac was totally dead and so a couple of weeks ago I dipped into my savings and treated myself to a new one. I have absolutely loved having a bit more time to play around with it over the last week and it is definitely giving me so much more blogging motivation - it's so nice to be able to put posts up more quickly!

4) Getting Bon Iver tickets for Berlin

Sam was an absolute star on Friday and managed to get us tickets to go and watch Bon Iver in Berlin in Feb! Bon Iver are one of our favourite bands to watch live and I am so excited to visit Berlin again too - we have only been once but we totally fell in love with the place, so I can't wait to spend another long weekend there.

5) Admiring the gorgeous September sunrises and sunsets

sunset How amazing is the sky in general at this time of year? We saw the most gorgeous sunrise when we were driving over to Leeds on Monday morning, and I was welcomed back home on Wednesday night by this beautiful sunset. So perfect!

6) Loads of family time

The definite highlight of the week has been spending loads of time with my ace family. They really are the best and everything feels just that little bit easier when we're all together. Plus they have all cooked delicious things for me to eat which has also made me happy! Thanks family.

7) A super lazy day

I wrote about how much I loved my totally ace duvet day here, but I couldn't not put it on this list as well as it has definitely helped me feel more human this week. Yay for books and blankets and not getting dressed.

8) Shopping in Liverpool

On Friday I headed to Liverpool for a spot of retail therapy with my Mum. I had a totally successful A/W shop (so many gorgeous jumpers in Zara, just FYI) and we had some dinner and cocktails at Las Iguanas. It was so nice to get out of the house for a couple of hours and now I'm ready for whenever the cold weather turns up too.

9) An epic Waterstones book haul

You all know that whenever I need cheering up I head to Waterstones, and that's exactly what I did on Tuesday. I treated myself to a stack of new books and I've been working my way through them this week. Books are the BEST thing to spend money on ever.

10) A trip to Wilmslow Artisan Market

On Saturday we took a drive out to Wilmslow to visit the artisan market. We found it when we went to buy my wedding dress back in June and loved it, so we took the family along for a wander. It was such a lovely way to spend a morning and I had one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten. Winning.
