Monday again already and I've got a raft of favourites for you this week. Focussing on the good stuff is really helping me at the moment and it's reminding me that no matter how crap things get sometimes, there is always stuff to smile about. So here we go, my 10 favourites this week...

1) Getting back in the swing of things at work

This week I got a full week at work under my belt for the first time in over a month and it was so nice to feel properly in the swing of things again. I had a couple of really good meetings that have got me feeling excited and it's been nice to catch up with all of my colleagues too. I'm very lucky to be part of such a lovely team!

2) Ultrabland cleanser

ultrabland cleanserI finally picked the Lush Ultrabland cleanser up this week after being recommended it by quite a few different people and OH MY GOD, it's amazing!!! My skin has been a bit of a nightmare recently and this has cleared it up really quickly - plus it seems to have help balance all of the oily/patchy bits of my face.

3) A lovely walk along the canal

These gorgeous autumn evenings are perfect for getting out for a walk and I've thoroughly enjoyed moseying along the canal after work while the sun starts to dip. It helps me clear my head a little bit, plus it's good to get moving again after a month of eating and drinking far too much!

4) Booking a trip to Disneyland Paris

disneyland parisYou might have read in this post that this week we booked a trip to Disneyland Paris for Halloween! We're going with quite a lot of our family and I'm really looking forward to experiencing the magic of Disneyland through the eyes of the little ones. Sam and I are also going to have a night in Paris which I'm excited about as the last time we went together was 4 or 5 years ago.

5) Some exciting wedding stuff

I received my appointment for my very first wedding dress fitting in the post this week which made me very excited - it's not until April but I already can't wait to try my dress on again. We also got the skirts for our bridesmaids too which I know they are gonna look SO gorgeous in.

6) Our very own Blossom tree

We saw Sam's brother, Tom, and his girlfriend, Kate, this week and they surprised us with the most thoughtful gift - our very own blossom tree. If you've read this post then you will understand the significance of this and how much it means to us both - we are so very lucky to have such kind people in our life.

7) Catching up with people

We spent a bit more time in Leeds this week which meant that I got to catch up with some of my favourite people. As well as seeing Tom and Kate, I also had dinner with two of my best friends, Sarah and Teddy - it was lovely to see their faces and have a proper catch up.

8) A gorgeous package all the way from Aus

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAWhen we got back to Leeds I had a fab little package waiting for me all the way from Aus. My lovely friend Steph had sent me such a gorgeous bundle of goodies and it put the biggest smile on my face. Steph has actually started her own blog recently about everything she's getting up to in Sydney - you should definitely give it a read!

9) Buying some new A/W bits

My retail therapy habit has continued this week and I picked up some lovely bits ready for the new season. I got this gorgeous dress from Boohoo (which is mega flattering!) and also got quite a bit of stuff from Next for work. I'm looking forward to the weather cooling down a little bit so I can get some wear out of it all!

10) Spending the weekend with my family

After a busy few days in work I was really looking forward to spending the weekend with my family and it was as lovely as expected. I really am so lucky to have such an amazing clan around me and when I'm with them, everything just feels that little bit easier!
