10 favourites this week (#92)

How is it Monday again already?! I've got a mega busy week ahead, but it's my last full one in work for the next few weeks which is pretty exciting. We've got a couple of weddings and holidays coming up which means that my next full week at work isn't until the 21st November - not bad, huh?

But I'm getting carried away! Before I start thinking about holidays I should probably tell you about my 10 favourites this week...

1) A day trip to London for work

On Tuesday I headed down to London for work for the first time in ages. I had a really productive day of meetings and it was lovely to catch up with all of my southern colleagues. I've got another trip planned this week and rumour has it we're having a team night out to Bodeans - so excited!

2) Catching up with my best friend

On Tuesday evening I had a proper catch up on the phone with my bezza, Fiona, and it was ace. We were on the phone for ages - you know when you have one of those calls where you just totally put the world to rights and feel ten times better afterwards? It was ace.

3) Getting post from Grandma Airey

Sam's Grandma sent me the cutest card in the post this week and it totally made my day! I never get post that isn't bills or junk mail these days, so getting a lovely hand written card was so nice. Plus she even wrote out a slow cooker recipe for me to try - so sweet! It made me determined to send more people cards in the post just because as it really cheered me up.

4) Shooting a look book with Bonprix

On Saturday morning I headed to Roundhay Park for a very exciting shoot with Bonprix! As part of an upcoming campaign they wanted to shoot some winter looks with bloggers, so Victoria, Gabby, Bridie and I got to have loads of fun trying gorgeous coat and boots on and doing our best poses. The weather was absolutely perfect and we even managed to get some "throwing leaves in the air excitedly" shots - I can't wait to see the photos!

5) A mini Boohoo haul

I must say that up until recently I never really thought that much about Boohoo, but I have had some gorgeous bargains from there in the past couple of months! This week I got some autumn essentials including a black cord dress, some roll neck jumpers and a lovely blouse - best of all they were SO cheap.

6) Binge watching Scandal

I stopped watching Scandal for ages as it is impossible to just watch one episode at a time and it was seriously impacting my productivity, but this week I succumbed and have been binge watching it ALL weekend. Sometimes it's good to just get totally lost in a TV show and when Fitzgerald Grant is involved it's even better!

7) Champagne afternoon tea

After we finished shooting photos on Saturday, Bonprix treated all of us bloggers to a gorgeous champagne afternoon tea at The Mansion in Roundhay Park. It was so lovely to catch up with some lovely bloggers while stuffing our faces with some of the prettiest cakes ever - definitely a good way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

8) Having a sleepover with Hudson

fullsizerender-5On Saturday night we had a sleepover with little Hudson. He is such a funny kid and had us laughing all night with his singing and dancing - plus waking up to that gorgeous little face is enough to make any weekend better.

9) A very lazy Sunday

I didn't get dressed yesterday and it was GLORIOUS. We were at my Mum and Dad's house and I did nothing but watch TV and eat and blog and hang out with my family. It was so relaxing and just what I needed after a week full of ups and downs - sometimes you just need a lazy day, don't you?

10) My Mum's roast dinner

Of course the biggest perk of being at home on a Sunday is my Mum's roast dinners - they are literally my favourite meal in the whole entire world! I have mentioned them on this list so many times before, but they really are a highlight of any week!

What have you all been up to this week? Have you done anything fun?
