What I Wore: The Autumn Edit
Well, it's been a long, long time since I last did an outfit post, hasn't it? I've been meaning to do one for ages, but the evenings get dark so quickly and we've been away a lot and I've been really great at finding excuses. But when La Redoute got in touch with me a few weeks ago, it was exactly the offer I needed to shake me out of my style blogging rut.
Their campaign combines a few of my favourite things - fashion, Christmas and Paris. They asked a few bloggers to put together an outfit that would be perfect for the Christmas markets, and the look with the most votes will win a trip to Paris to check out the markets for themselves. How exciting is that?!
So, onto the outfit that I chose. I knew that it had to be two things - stylish and comfortable. I have recent first hand experience of just how effortlessly cool Parisians are so I could draw on their inspiration, but I've been to Christmas markets before and you do A LOT of walking. So I tried to put together an outfit that was practical but still had some stylish twists.
The skirt was the real staple for me - I love how swishy it is and I thought it could easily be updated for a night time look by switching the pumps for heeled boots. You can't see, but underneath my scarf and jacket, I'm wearing a really soft roll neck top which is fab for keeping warm but also looking chic.
The scarf was my favourite piece - I love the colour and it's so warm and snuggly, but also adds a little something to the top half of the look. And I couldn't resist these pumps - the leopard print added a pop of fun to an otherwise monochrome outfit, and they are SO comfy. Perfect for getting those steps up while doing your Christmas shopping!
I added my trusty H&M faux leather jacket that I've had for years and my fave ASOS bag for a little bit more fun, and voila, I am Christmas market ready!
So what do you think? If you like my outfit I would LOVE it if you could vote for my look on this page here - you just need to find my snap and give it a little like. It only takes a couple of seconds but could get me back to one of my fave place before Christmas which would be a pretty great ending to the year!
