2 Years of Blogging

On Thursday this little blog celebrated it's second birthday. I can't believe it - two whole years of writing and editing and sharing content with you all! That time has totally flown by and in all honesty I can't really remember what it was like not having a blog anymore - blogging occupies so much of my energy and headspace these days that I don't really know what I used to do with all my free time!

In the past year especially, this blog has brought so much into my life. I've made new friends that I don't know what I did without. I've had some amazing experiences, like learning how to cook at Malton Cookery School or going parasailing over the gorgeous Ibiza coast with icelolly.com. I've worked with brands that inspire me so much and have been stretched out of my comfort zone when it comes to learning new things. It has been an amazing year for my blog and I am so grateful for all of the opportunities I have been given. I'm really hoping that the next year brings even more fun!

Most of all though, I am so, so grateful to everyone that reads my posts and engages with them. Writing is cathartic for me and I get so much out of putting the posts together, but I can't tell you how incredible it feels when someone comments to say that they can relate or that my writing has helped them in some way. So THANK YOU for reading this blog and giving me the motivation and energy to keep going with it.

I can't really put into words how much this space has helped me in the past couple of months. I honestly thing that having something to focus my energy on and distract myself with has saved me from losing the plot entirely. The lovely comments and the thoughtful messages have all meant the world to me.

So, what's next for sophiecliff.com? I'm hoping that in 2017 I will be able to bring you lots more travel content and I'm determined to get back to doing outfit posts as I love putting those ones together. There are some brands that I would really love to work with and some content ideas that I've been playing with that I'd like to put into action. But more than anything, I'd like to focus on building a community of positivity and encouragement and glass half full living. Because that is what has got me through the past few months and that is the message I'm most excited about spreading on this little blog.

As ever, if there's anything particularly you'd like to see, leave me a comment and let me know. And thank you again for being such lovely, loyal readers - you don't know how much it means to me.
