Where Do I Fit In The Blogging World?

I've been thinking a lot about this little blog in the last couple of months and trying to put some plans together for what I want to achieve and the direction I want it to take. One of the questions I keep coming back to is where do I fit in the blogging world? You see - I'm not one of those fresh faced, super slim young gals who can style up pretty much anything on ASOS and look amazing (oh how I envy you!). The fact that I don't have any kids keeps me out of the mummy blogging cliques. I'm not a beauty blogger with drawers full of lipsticks and cleansers and eyeshadow palettes. And I haven't travelled the world, gleaning stories and anecdotes and tips to share with you all.

I don't really fit into any sort of niche, which can make planning much more difficult. I struggle to identify what it is that makes you guys come back and keep reading. I'm never too sure whether you'll like it when I share something a bit different. And I don't really know where to look for inspiration in terms of what to do next. I don't feel like I really have a set place within the blogging world.

But honestly - I actually kinda like it. I like that no matter what I put together on here, it's always something that I really want to share with you. I like that I don't have to follow any kind of set schedule, or to leave out anything that I'm dying to write about, just because it doesn't fit with my niche. I like that this blog is sort of like a huge diary of the last few years of my life that I'll get to revisit in the future. The fact that you all want to read it as well is just ace.

Jumper - H&M | Skirt - ASOS | Jacket - Primark (similar here) | Bag - Topshop | Sunglasses - Celine

And I like to think that even though the subject matter might change, that I might be writing about travel one day and grief the next, there are common themes that tie this little ol' blog together. I always try and share some positivity - whether that be lessons I've learnt while trying to be a happier human, or just some really great tips that will help you have an ace holiday. And I always try to be as honest as I possibly can with you all (sometimes probably a little bit too honest!) because above anything else, I want this blog to be relatable and helpful and genuine.

So yeah, I might not have an instantly identifiable niche, but hopefully the fact that I'm just doing me is enough for you guys. Let me know what you think (and maybe give me a little heads up on what keeps you reading...!).
