January Round Up & February Goals
If you've been following this blog for any length of time you'll be familiar with my usual monthly round up posts. I wanna continue these this year as they're fun to look back on, but I also wanted to shake things up a little bit too. So moving forwards I'll be pairing them with my monthly goals too - hopefully it'll be a nice way to reflect on the month that has passed while also thinking about I want to achieve in the coming weeks. I hope you like the new format!
January Round Up
Drinking cocktails at the American Bar in The Savoy.
Booking a minimoon to New York!
Saving lots of money on my spending ban.
Dogsitting and loving every minute.
Celebrating my sister buying her first home.
Watching Rogue 1 at the cinema (we loved it!)
Buying a wedding suit for Sam.
Enjoying sunny crisp days and cosy nights in.
Pottering around at home and feeling lucky.
Sending out our first wedding invites.
Planning for our impending trip to Berlin.
Getting shortlisted for the UK Blog Awards.
Eating delicious burgers and lots of vegetables.
Exploring Borough market for the first time.
Attending my first blogging event of the year.
Catching up with some of my best gals.
Feeling really grateful for our cosy fire.
One of my overall goals for 2017 was to write something longer than a blog post and I haven't made any progress on that in January. So this month I'm determined to get some words down on paper (or y'know, in a Word document).
2) Eat less, move more
I definitely did a good job on the moving more this month and got to the gym 12 times, but I definitely ate far too much deep fried stuff! With my wedding dress fitting fast approaching and a few extra Christmas pounds still hanging around, I'm determined to make healthier choices this month.
3) Keep saving
My no spend month in January definitely opened my eyes to how much mindless spending I do and how much bigger my savings could potentially be if I put a bit of focus on them. I want to keep being money savvy this month and get closer to finishing our wedding savings.
How has your month been? Do you have any goals for February?
