January Favourites

Hello lovely readers! Today I'm introducing a new series to my blog - monthly product favourites. I say new, it's definitely not a new format within the blogging world, but it's new to me. I find that I always have lots of lovely products that I want to tell you about, so I thought they'd be a good way to round up some of those things (and yes, okay, give me an excuse to buy some more...). So here goes - my January favourites!

Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Lemon Sage Shampoo & Conditioner

I was gifted this shampoo and conditioner at a Salon Success UK event last November and I've been obsessed with it ever since. I have pretty much zero loyalty with hair products and will usually pick up whatever is on offer at the supermarket, but I was genuinely gutted when I finished these bottles. The smell is incredible for a start and I could definitely notice a difference in the volume of my hair after using these a couple of times. I'll definitely be picking more of these up soon!

Lush Ultrabland Cleanser

lush ultrabland cleanserI'm sure I've harped on about this cleanser on the blog before, but I had to include it in this post as it's really helped with my dry winter skin this month. I have tried so many of the top rated cleansers, from the Oskia Renaissance Gel to Emma Hardie's Moringa Cleansing Balm, but for me, Ultrabland always wins out. Plus it's such good value that you can really be generous with the amount you use.

MAC Mehr Matte Lipstick

mac mehr lipstickI bought this lippy after seeing it on one of the girls who works in our local Zara branch before Christmas - I totally fell in love with the shade and immediately after asking her what it was scooted up to Harvey Nics to pick one up for myself. I'm a big fan of MAC's matte lipsticks and this shade is perfect for vamping up an everyday look without being too full on.

ZOEVA Warm Spectrum Eyeshadow Palette

zover eyeshadow paletteMy lovely sister bought me this for my birthday in November and it's quickly replaced Urban Decay's Naked as the most eyeshadow versatile palette in my collection. There's a whole range of colours that can take you from day to night, and a good mix of matte and shimmer. My fave thing though is that the pigment is really strong and I seem to end up with less of it all over my face than with other eyeshadows.

NEOM Organics Energy Burst Perfume

neon organics energy burst perfumeThis was another gifted product, but one that I've really fallen in love with and will be purchasing with my own hard earned cash when this one runs out! It's the very first perfume from NEOM Organics, a brand I've been obsessed with for a while now. The smell is just divine, and the scents have been blended perfectly to give you a little energy boost. I must admit that it doesn't last as long as other perfumes, but I think the fact it's 100% natural totally makes up for that - plus it's just a good excuse to have an extra spritz mid afternoon!

Life After Life by Kate Atkinson

I only read 3 books in January, but this was by far the best one. It took me a little while to work through, but it was a story that I couldn't wait to keep dipping back into - I was captured from the first chapter. I don't want to say too much as I always worry I'll give something crucial away, but definitely pick this book up if you're on the lookout for something new to read. It's such an inventive and captivating story and I feel a little bit sad that I've finished it.

Lindt Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt

lindt dark chocolate with sea salt This bar of yumminess had to make the list this month as it has been my favourite after dinner pick me up during a gloomy January. A couple of squares of this with a cup of tea has been a lovely antidote to stressful days and howling wind and I don't see my obsession disappearing anytime soon!

There you have it - my January favourites. What have you been loving this month?
