What I Wore: The Perfect Summer Outfit

So before I start rambling on about the outfit I'm wearing in these photos, I feel obliged to point out that wearing my Fitbit was very much an accident rather than a conscious ~fashion~ decision. I totally forgot I had it on until we got back home and I started editing the pictures - what an absolute blogger fail! Despite my little mishap, I am totally in love with this outfit and I know I am going to be sporting it a lot this summer - it's super simple, but packs a lot of sass too. Win win.

Let's start with the dress - obviously the main reason why I love it is because it makes me feel like the red dress lady emoji, who let's be honest, is my spirit animal. The colour is my all time fave (and will look even better with a tan later in the summer) and the fabric is the type that will be lovely and cool on warmer evenings. I love that the wide sleeves add a bit more interest to the classic bardot cut and the waist belt makes the loose shape that bit more flattering.

The shoes are from EGO and are perfect for adding a bit of height without risking hobbling around in agony. I love the espadrille detailing which makes them feel super summery and the fact that they're black means they go with just about everything in my wardrobe - score.

And finally, accessories. Other than my very gorgeous Fitbit (insert eyeroll here), I've kept it simple with this super pretty choker from Accessorize and my beloved Celine sunnies. I'm thinking about investing in a pretty straw bag to really complete this look for summer - I've got my eye on this one at the mo.
