6 Things I'm Looking Forward To This Autumn

So autumn is well and truly here, and I for one could not be happier about it! This time of year is my absolute fave - I love the fashion, the cosy nights in and the fact that the diary is always packed full of social commitments. It's always a busy season for me, and this year looks set to be no different - we've got something on pretty much every weekend between now and Christmas! So today I thought I'd share all the things I'm looking forward to this autumn...

1) Watching The National

So next week Sam and I are off to see one of our all time favourite bands, The National, in Manchester. They were one of the first bands we ever saw together and we always try and catch them when they're on tour. I absolutely love their new album so I'm super excited! We're going to stay over in Manchester too and make a bit of a weekend of it, so let me know if you have any bar/restaurant/shopping recommendations!

2) Our holiday to Bilbao & San Sebastián

For Sam's 30th birthday pressie I booked us a little trip to Bilbao and San Sebastián in October and we're both really looking forward to it. I'm excited to eat lots of yummy Spanish tapas, explore some new places and hopefully get some last minute sunshine in before the temperature plummets here in England.

3) My friend's hen do

I've got another weekend of fun planned in October for my lovely friend Emily's hen do. I can't tell you what we're doing as it's a surprise and I know she's a regular reader of the blog, but I'm really excited to spend a whole weekend celebrating one of the nicest humans I know with lots of other lovely gals.

4) Pottering at home

I feel like if there's ever a season to spend lots of time pottering at home then autumn is it. We've got lots of little things that need doing around the house, like hanging curtains and putting pictures up, but we've also got some bigger jobs to do too, like having our front door replaced and planning our bathroom and kitchen makeover. Would you guys be interested in seeing some interiors content now that we're back on making our house look pretty?

5) Turning 28

In November I'll be turning 28 and I'm actually really excited about it! I feel like with every extra number on the end of the 20 I grow in confidence and gain more clarity about what I want to achieve in life, which is a pretty bloody good feeling. Plus, we'll be celebrating my birthday by spending the weekend in Edinburgh which is a city I absolutely LOVE, so I think it's gonna be a pretty lovely time all round.

6) Embracing all the traditions

Last but by no means least is my favourite part of this season - embracing all the traditions! I can't wait to break out the cosy PJs and whip up all my favourite comfort food dishes and wrap up warm while watching firework displays. And how can I forget easing into all of the Christmas festivities with a spot of shopping too...

What are you looking forward to this autumn?
