10 favourites this week (#161)

Happy Monday you lovely lot! How's your week been? I had such a lovely one and I'm so excited to tell you all about it today! Here are my 10 favourites this week...

1) Strolls around London

I was in London as usual on Monday evening, and the weather was so nice that I decided to head out for a stroll along the Thames. It was so nice to soak up some of London's sights in the sunshine and made me feel very lucky that I get to spend so much time there.

2) Watching the football with Sam

My husband is a staunch Liverpool fan, so the past few weeks have involved a lot of intense football watching as they make their way through the Champions League. I'm not usually a massive football fan, but I really enjoyed sitting on the sofa with a beer and watching Sam shout and sing a lot. Here's hoping they make it to the final...

3) Booking our final honeymoon details

Most of our midweek evenings last week were spent finalising all of the last little details for our West Coast road trip. We booked our hire car, sorted some internal flights and started making a list of everything we want to do in each destination - I don't think I've ever been so giddy about a holiday!!!

4) Love

So many people have recommended the Netflix show Love to me, and this week I finally got round to starting watching it this week. It was a bit of a slow start but I'm really enjoying it now I'm in the swing of it - plus, it has the added bonus of being set in LA which is giving me even more holiday excitement.

5) Dinner with friends

On Thursday evening I met two of my lovely friends in Leeds for dinner at Mans Market. It was so nice to catch up with them both and the food was totally delicious - I'll definitely be back again soon to try more of the menu.

6) An amazing weekend with my girls

I spent the weekend in Chester with my two oldest, bestest friends, Fiona and Emily, and it was absolutely brilliant. It's been almost a decade now since we all lived in the same place and I don't get to see them nearly as much as I'd like, but when we do get together we always have the best time. I made my way back to Leeds yesterday with such a happy heart after hanging out with them, and I'm already counting down the weeks until we can do it all again.

7) Exploring Chester

Emily has recently bought a beautiful house in Chester, and she hosted our little get together there this weekend. She lives a short walk away from the city centre and it was so nice to explore together and experience some of her favourite places. It's such a beautiful city and I'm so glad that I'll get to visit her there many more times in the future.

8) Storyhouse Women

We were super lucky that while we were in Chester this weekend, there was a brilliant festival happening called Storyhouse Women. It was a celebration of all things women and girls, and we got to see some brilliant performances and talks at the Storyhouse. Our fave was a talk by Burlesque legend Jo King, which was empowering, inspiring and a load of good fun.

9) Family roast dinner

When I got back to Leeds yesterday I headed straight back out for a lovely Sunday lunch with our family. The food was just what I needed to take the edge off my prosecco hangover, and as always, it was so nice to see our funny little nephew.

10) Sunday night on the sofa

I think Sunday evenings on the sofa have made it on to this list more than any other thing, but I think they might actually be my favourite part of the week! Last night we curled up with the cat, watched an episode of Nashville and generally just had a lovely time hanging out. It was just what I needed to recoup before another busy week!

How's your week been? What have you all been up to?
