Happy Monday, you lovely lot! How has your week been? Mine has been such a lovely one. I've been feeling very grateful for so many reasons this week, and because of that, I feel like I could write a list of 20 favourites! But don't worry, I'll stick with just 10. Here are my 10 favourites this week...

1) A garden makeover

Last week started with a very sunny bank holiday here in Britain, so I did what us Brits tend to do on bank holidays and got stuck in with some gardening. Our little outdoor space had become very overgrown so it was hard work, but I was pretty happy with the result. I wrote a bit more about the changes we made here if you're interested.

2) Strolling around London in the sun

I was down in London for work on Tuesday evening and the weather was gorgeous, so I decided to put my trainers on and head out for a walk. I ended up covering about 5 miles without even noticing because I was just enjoying strolling around so much - I always feel lucky to have my little evenings to myself in the capital city, especially when the sun is shining.

3) Places I Stopped On The Way Home

I have been reading Meg Fee's blog for years, and have been anticipating her debut book since I heard about it's release, so when it finally arrived last week I pushed my "to read" pile to one side and got stuck right in. Meg's writing is so beautiful and I thoroughly enjoyed getting lost in her words and stories - there were so many moments when I hadn't even realised I'd been holding my breath as I read. If you're a fan of memoirs and gorgeous storytelling, this book is for you.

4) Team lunch

Once a fortnight our company orders lunch for the whole office and we all gather round in the kitchen to enjoy a meal together. I quite often miss it due to working from home half of the week, but this week I managed to make it. I was very happy about that fact when I discovered that it was Greek food on the menu - my fave!

5) My first bunch of peonies this year

I know that I'm a massive blogger cliche, but I absolutely LOVE peonies, and I haven't seen them in bloom since our wedding day, so when I spotted a bunch at Waitress last week, I had to pick them up. They've been cheering up my fireplace this week and I've absolutely loved watching them unfold.

6) Dinner at Bundobust

We headed out for dinner and a couple of drinks with our friends on Thursday evening to bid farewell to our friend Danny who is moving to London. Bundobust is one of my fave places to eat in Leeds and it was so nice to enjoy their yummy vada pay in great company.

7) Soul Music podcast

You all know how much I love podcasts, and this week I've discovered a new fave! I heard about Soul Music while listening to another podcast, and have quickly become obsessed. Each week they take a different song and dissect the lyrics and melodies, before dipping into what the song means to various people. It's so cool to hear the histories behind some of the most famous songs in the world!

8) A wonderful weekend in the Lake District

If you follow me on Instagram, you'll have seen that Sam and I spent the weekend in the Lake District at Another Place, The Lake. We ate amazing food, hiked around the fells, relaxed in the outdoor hot tub and slept better than I have done in weeks. I'll be writing a full review of our stay, but it was the best weekend I've had in ages.

9) Paddle boarding on Ullswater lake

The highlight of our weekend in the Lakes was spending Saturday morning paddle boarding our way around Ullswater. I've been SUPing once before in Ibiza and loved it, so I was very happy to try it again, and with the sun shining down on the lake and beautiful views in every direction, it was a very enjoyable couple of hours.

10) Catch ups with the in-laws

As luck would have it, Sam's parents were also spending the weekend in the Lake District, so we got to meet up with them for a couple of hours. We sat in the sunshine with them and visited Castlerigg stone circle, before heading for a spot of lunch. We haven't seen them for a while so it was lovely to catch up.

What have you all been up to this week?
