10 favourites this week (#168)
Happy Monday you lovely lot! For the first time in weeks I’ve actually managed to organise myself well enough to have this post up at it’s usual time. It’s been another lovely week (I mean, this sunshine is just putting everyone in the best mood, isn’t it?!) so I’ve got lots of happy things to share with you all. Here are my 10 favourites this week...
1) Dinner with my friend
On Monday evening I met my lovely friend Laura for some dinner in London after work. We went for a little rooftop Aperol spritz in the sunshine first, before eating alllllll the yummy Indian food. It was so nice to see her and catch up - I always feel very lucky that being in London regularly for work allows me to keep in touch with my friends who live down there.
A week where England win not one but two games in the World Cup - surely this will be a week for the history books?! I’ll admit that I’m not a committed football fan, but I think the whole of England is currently swept up with football fever, and I’m no exception. The atmosphere up and down the country has been amazing, and I just hope that the success continues this week!
3) Getting to be a bride again
On Tuesday I took part in a wedding shoot for work, and it was so much fun to play bride again! I loved having my hair and make up done and getting to experiment with some looks that were so different than what I went for on our wedding day. Plus, is there anything more fun than prancing about in the sunshine in pretty dresses?
4) Some new Nuxe fragrances
This week I was lucky enough to be sent two new fragrances by the lovely team at Nuxe and they have quickly become my new summer faves! The two perfumes, Le Matin Des Possibles and Le Soir Des Possibles are both gorgeous and compliment each other perfectly. I can already tell that they're going to be my scents of the season.
5) Nanette by Hannah Gadsby
I'd seen so many people recommending Hannah Gadsby's stand up show, Nanette, so on Friday evening I decided to give it a whirl. Hannah is incredible funny, but this is a piece of comedy with a difference - I cried just as much as I laughed, and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since. You all need to watch it, pronto!
6) Lunch out with my old team
On Friday afternoon I headed out for lunch in sunshine with my old team from my previous job. I haven't seen them for a couple of months so it was lovely to have a good old catch up, and it was made even better by the fact that there was pizza on the menu! It was the perfect way to run off a busy week.
7) A spa weekend with the girls
This weekend was such a lovely one, and mainly because I got to spent it at a fancy spa with the girls. We had such a good time, full of relaxation, delicious food and plenty of laughs, and it was just what the doctor ordered. We've already promised to make it an annual occurrence as we had so much fun.
8) Having a good old pamper
I feel like I've spent so much time being pampered this week and I've loved every second! I had a fresh manicure on Monday which always makes me feel good, and then I enjoyed a full body scrub and a massage at the spa this weekend. I always find that taking a bit of time out for a pamper makes me feel amazing - I need to do it more often.
Another perk of being at the spa this weekend was getting to spend loads of time sunbathing on the loungers on the lawn. I genuinely feel like I'm getting a better tan in the UK this year than I've ever had from a holiday, and I am very happy about it.
10) A lovely day with Sam's family
I spent yesterday afternoon in Shrewsbury with Sam's family to celebrate his Grandad's 95th birthday! What a grand old age, eh?! We enjoyed a lovely meal with everyone (with a couple of glasses of fizz to toast the birthday boy of course!) and generally had a really nice time catching up with the family.
What have you all been up to this week?
