Happy Monday, you lovely lot - the last one in January, woohoo! My gosh this has felt like a long month, isn't it? It's been a January full of lessons for me, but that's a topic for another blog post. For now, I'll concentrate on this week's favourites...

1) A cosy night at my hotel room

As always, I was down in London for work last Monday, and I had such a cosy, chilled night in my hotel room. I did a bit of yoga, had a lovely shower, and ordered noodles on Deliveroo, before curling up in bed with my book. It was the perfect start to the week.

2) Team day

On Tuesday I hosted a team building day at work and it was great! It was so lovely to have all of my team in one room (we're dotted all over the country, so this very rarely happens!) and we started making some great plans for the year ahead. I always feel so proud to lead such a brilliant group of kick ass women, and our team day definitely cemented that.

3) Coming home to a clean house

After a long couple of days in London, it was such a lovely surprise to come home to a sparklingly clean house! I've had a really busy and draining few weeks, so the fact that Sam had made sure I didn't have to worry about any housework this week made me feel pretty darn lucky.

4) More running

I have a weird relationship with running - I massively overdid it with marathon training a few years ago, and ever since I've really struggled to get into a good habit. But during the last few weeks I've really started to enjoy running again - it's really helped me on days when my anxiety has been creeping up, and I'm sure getting a bit of vitamin D at this time of year is doing me good too.

5) Spending lots of time at home

I headed back to my parents house for a bit of R&R last week and it was just what I needed. I never sleep better than I do in my old bed, and it was so lovely to spend some quality time with my Mum and Dad. They always keep me well fed and watered too, which definitely helps!

6) Catching up with family

Another one of the perks of spending lots of time at home is getting to catch up with my wider family. I visited both of my grandparents, and also spent some time with my little cousins who always put the biggest smile on my face. They are definitely some of the funniest humans I know!

7) Reconnecting with old friends

On Friday I had a funeral to attend which was incredibly sad, but the silver lining to a very big cloud was getting to reconnect with some old friends. It's been 10 years since I've lived at home now, and with lots of my old school and college friends dotted all over the country it's been a good old while since I've seen a lot of them. Although the circumstances were really crappy, it was lovely to catch up and reminisce on old memories together.

8) Mary Poppins Returns

I took two of my little cousins to see Mary Poppins Returns on Saturday afternoon and I absolutely loved it! It was such a joyful film filled with magic and positivity and music, and the three of us left the cinema with huge smiles on our faces. I would thoroughly recommend it.

9) In The Moment magazine

I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that I'm really getting into magazines again at the moment - there's something about having something physical to pore over that feels special after years of consuming online content. In The Moment is one of my absolute faves at the mo - it's such an uplifting read and I genuinely enjoyed every single article.

10) A super chilled out Sunday

I headed back to Leeds yesterday and had a super chilled out and lovely Sunday pottering at home. I caught up on work, snuggled my cat and watched some trashy TV, and it was awesome. Sometimes the simplest of days are the best, aren't they?

What's been making you smile this week?
