Happy Monday, you lovely lot! How are you all doing? I’m feeling refreshed after a very relaxing and restorative weekend - it was just what I needed after a stressful and busy couple of weeks.

Anyway, let’s delve into this week’s favourites, shall we?

1) Launching my new website

After a lot of late nights and more Googling than I thought possible, I finally launched my new website last Monday! It’s something I’ve ummed and ahhed about for such a long time, but it now it’s finally done and out there in the world I couldn’t be happier.

2) Fleabag

I became a little bit obsessed with Fleabag after my best friend got me onto it earlier this year (late to the party as always!), and I’m thoroughly enjoying season 2. If you’re looking for something funny, sharp and clever to watch, get this on your list.

3) Making risotto

I was feeling pretty stressed at the beginning of this week, and so on Wednesday evening I put my laptop away, poured myself a glass of wine, and made a risotto. There’s something about making a risotto that is just so soothing - the constant stirring, the gradual adding of ingredients - and it was pretty damn delicious too!

4) Being reunited with my cousin

My lovely cousin, Redmond, moved to Sydney over a year ago and I’ve missed him so much, but this week we were finally reunited! We’ve always been super close and as soon as he got home it was like no time had passed - we were straight back to laughing and gossiping like no time at all had passed.

5) A perfect Friday night in

I had a cosy night in on Friday with my sister and my cousin. We got a Chinese takeaway, drank lots of beer and spent the whole night putting the world to rights. It was good for the soul and just what I needed.

6) Booking flights to New York

I have been having New York cravings for so long now, and so this week when I found some super cheap flights that coincided with our 2nd wedding anniversary, I couldn’t resist booking them! I’m so excited for a long weekend in our favourite city doing our favourite things - eating, drinking and shopping!

7) A fresh blow dry

One thing I’ve really missed while my cousin has been in Oz is his fab bouncy blow dries - I work for a company that specialises in blow dries, but nobody ever manages to get my hair looking as good as he does. So getting my hair done by him on Saturday morning felt like such a treat - I’ve been swishing around all weekend.

8) Lunch and a catch up with an old friend

On Saturday afternoon I met an old friend for lunch and it was so lovely to catch up. We ate delicious carbonara, shared a pot of tea and caught up on everything that’s been going on in our lives - it felt like no time had passed at all.

9) A lazy Sunday morning

I woke up really early yesterday after such a good night’s sleep in my old bed at home, but rather than jumping up and out of bed, I put the telly on, read a magazine and binge watched lots of episodes of Sex and the City with a cup of tea - bliss!

10)  A Mexican feast

When I got back to Leeds last night Sam whipped us up a delicious Mexican feast of fish tacos, chorizo and potato quesadillas and fresh guacamole. It was all so yummy and made me feel very lucky to have married such a good chef.
