Hands up if you started 2019 with a list of goals and plans and resolutions for the year ahead? Hands up if you haven’t been back and checked in on that list of goals since, ooooh, the middle of January? If you’re sat there with both hands in the air, I can assure you that you aren’t alone.

It seems we all start the year full of gusto and motivation, and then, well, life kinda gets in the way. Before too long we forget all about those big dreams and goals we planned out back in January. Or perhaps you can remember exactly what your big goals were, but you’re kinda avoiding thinking about them because you feel guilty about not making as much progress as you’d have liked? Yep, been there too.

And it’s no surprise really, is it? 12 months is a big old chunk of time, and when we set those goals for ourselves in January, we can’t possibly foresee the curve balls or hurdles we might have to overcome throughout the year. We can’t see how our plans might change, or how the goals we thought were perfect might not feel right anymore.

And that’s exactly why I like to conduct a little mid year review. I check in on the goals I set for myself, I reflect on my progress and I celebrate my achievements. I look back at what has and hasn’t been working, spend some time thinking about how I’d love the next 6 months to pan out, and adjust my goals where necessary to help me stay motivated and energised.

These mid year check ins give me the time and space to take a step back from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and get clear on how everything is going. Plus, taking stock at the midpoint of the year allows me to let go of any goals that are no longer serving me, and redirect all of my energy into the goals that feel really great.

A few people have asked how I go about my mid year check in, and so on Wednesday 3rd July at 7pm, I’ll be hosting an online workshop to talk you through my process. We’ll chat about why it’s important to check in on your goals, look at some of the mindset blocks that might be holding you back from achieving them, and set some goals that make you feel all fired up.

The workshop will last 1.5 - 2 hours, and you’ll have the opportunity to send in questions in advance, and also ask questions throughout the session. The best bit is that you can dial in from wherever you are in the world, and you don’t even have to change out of your pyjamas! And if you can’t make the live workshop time, you’ll receive a recording of the session so that you can rewatch it at any time.

As well as getting access to the live workshop, you’ll also receive a copy of my Reflect & Grow workbook so that you can apply the tools and exercises to your own life. Reflect & Grow retails for £12, so for just £6 more you can ask all the questions you like and learn more about the theory behind the workbook.

Here’s what we’ll cover in the workshop:

  • Why it’s important to check in on your goals

  • The tools you can use to help you reflect on the year so far

  • How to change the stories you are telling yourself about your goals and abilities

  • How to let go of the goals that no longer serve you

  • How to set goals that make you feel great to you

  • The techniques and processes that will help you to achieve those goals

This workshop is for you if:

  • You’ve been struggling to stay on track with your goals and plans

  • You want to set goals that truly motivate you and move you forwards

  • You want to create space and time to reflect on your progress so far

  • You want to take action now, rather than waiting until December

  • A link to replay the recording of the workshop so you can rewatch in your own time

  • A copy of my Reflect & Grow workbook to help you apply the tools and learnings to your own life
