Happy Monday, you lovely lot! I’m in such a good mood today - I think the combination of the sunshine, a gorgeous weekend and an upcoming holiday to look forward to is giving me alllllll the good vibes!

And I’m glad, because if I’m honest, last week was a bit of a tricky one in parts. But there was still so much to celebrate and feel grateful for, and that’s what I’m gonna concentrate on in this post. Here are my 10 favourites this week...

1) A lazy bank holiday Monday

A bank holiday Monday with zero plans? That’s usually unheard of for me, but I was very glad to have one this week! I read my book, watched lots of Netflix and spent lots of time hanging out at home with Sam and it was gorgeous - just what the doctor ordered.

2) Dead To Me

Dead To Me was my Netflix binge of choice of Monday, and I absolutely loved it. So much so in fact that I raced through all of the episodes in 3 days. It felt very reminiscent of Desperate Housewives but with more humour - would thoroughly recommend!

3) A lovely little date night

On Monday evening Sam and I headed out for a little date night and it was lovely. We went to Salvos, an Italian restaurant that is a bit of a Leeds institution and a place that holds some special memories for us. It was the first time we’d been in years, but the food was just as good as I remembered.

4) Hotel room upgrade

I was in London on Tuesday evening for work, and I got an upgrade to a very swanky room at my hotel. It meant I had an absolutely gigantic bed and a beautiful view of St Paul’s cathedral. I made the most of it by ordering in Deliveroo and getting an early night with my book.

5) A little ASOS haul

It’s been a really long time since I’ve been clothes shopping, but this week I ordered a few new bits from ASOS that I really loved. I got a new dress for a wedding we’re going to next week, as well as a pretty skirt to wear on a New York date night later in the month. Both items felt very “me”, and I can’t wait to wear them.

6) More peonies

I’m an absolute sucker for peonies and I had both the bright pink and the frilly type in my wedding bouquet. I spotted some of the beautiful pale pink frilly ones in Morrisons this week, and watching them unfurl on my fireplace has brought me lots of joy.

7) Getting my hair done

Considering I work for a beauty company and run salons for a living, it’s very rare that I actually get my hair done. But on Saturday morning I decided to go for a blow dry and it felt like such a treat! Plus I couldn’t stop swishing my hair around all day.

8) Champagne afternoon tea

After my lovely blow dry, I met up with my Mum and sister in Manchester and headed to Menagerie for a champagne afternoon tea. The restaurant was beautiful, and the afternoon tea was seriously yummy. Plus we also had some delicious cocktails - not a bad way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

9) Watching the Spice Girls

The very best part of Saturday, however, was watching the Spice Girls! Like most women my age I was OBSESSED with the Spice Girls as a kid and knew every word to every song, so finally getting to see them perform live was such a bucket list moment. Plus the atmosphere was absolutely incredible!

10) Watching Emmy the Great

I rounded off a very fun weekend with quite a different gig and went to watch Emmy the Great perform with my friend Jess. The gig was to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of her album First Love which is probably one of my most listened to albums of all time. It was another nostalgia trip, but this time I was reminiscing about my days at uni instead of my days impersonating Sporty Spice!
