I've written a book!

Well this might just be the most exciting blog post I’ve ever written. It’s one I’ve dreamed of writing for months and months, because I finally get to tell you that I’ve written a book!

Choose Joy: Relieve Burnout, Focus on Your Happiness, and Infuse More Joy into Your Everyday Life will be landing on November 8th, published by Blue Star Press and distributed by Penguin Random House.

I’ll be honest - I can’t quite believe I’ve just typed that! Writing a book has been a bucket list goal of mine since I was a little girl whose favourite place to hang out was the library, and to finally have my own ISBN number and Amazon listing feels totally surreal.

It also feels surreal to be sharing this news as I’ve been keeping it a secret for what has felt like a really long time. I had the first chat with my publishers last July, and since then I’ve been squirrelling away behind the scenes, planning, writing and editing. It’s the longest I’ve ever worked on a project without telling you all about it, but I am SO proud to finally spill the beans.

I’ve poured everything I know about joy into this book, blending the science of positive psychology, the latest research and insights and my own journey with joy to give you something that I hope feels inspiring, practical and accessible. It also looks absolutely gorgeous thanks to the brilliant design team at Blue Star Press - it’s a lie-flat hardback book with a full colour interior, and I really love every single page.

You can find out more about what the book is about and pre-order your copy via the link above. Pre-orders are incredibly important for the overall success of the book, so if you reckon you might buy a copy at some point, I’d love it if you placed a pre-order!

And as a little thank you to everyone who does pre-order, you’ll receive an exclusive ticket to our virtual launch party - just send a screenshot of your order receipt to publicity@bluestarpress.com, and we’ll make sure you get all of the details before the event in November.

I have so much I want to tell you about the process of creating this book, but for now, I just want to say a huge thank you. This is genuinely dream come true stuff for me, and I wouldn’t have had this opportunity if it wasn’t for all of you. Thank you for reading my words for all of these years - I can’t wait for you to read the ones I’ve poured into this book.

I hope I’ve done you proud!

Now tell me - what do you want to know? I’m happy to write future blog posts all about the process, how I managed the writing, what inspired me, etc, so just let me know what you’re most curious about!
